金田涼子
Born in Ibaraki Prefecture, Japan
Graduated from Yokohama University of Art and Design
Ryoko Kaneta expresses existences that transcend human understanding—such as gods and natural phenomena—through painting characters of different styles and scales. In recent years, she has created many works themed around indigenous Japanese culture and everyday atmospheres.
Since 2012, she has explored and expressed the contemporary presence of characters, and has curated the group exhibition “199X”.
